Efficient market hypothesis

In 2008 Eugene Fama gave a lecture entitled “A Brief History of the Efficient Market Hypothesis”, you can find it below.

The Efficient Market Hypothesis (EMH) is still under debate among finance researchers. In 2013 the Nobel prize in economics was awarded to Eugene Fama, Robert Shiller and Lars Peter Hansen, for their contribution to the empirical analysis of asset prices. Interestingly, Fama and Shiller have different views on the subject of EMH. Below you can find the videos of the Nobel lecture.

The video below contains a very interesting inteview, performed by the Chicago Booth Review, to Eugene Fama and Richard Thaler they also have different views on the subject of EMH.

This 20204 Joe Walker’s podcast with Fama covers EMH and is also quite interesting.
